In the medical field we call this Allstate-itis. Don’t worry, what goes around comes around. On a serious note, pretty sure there are attorneys out there that will help even with your specific financial scenario. @Bumboola any tips?
No idea. I don’t do this area of law (and I have no desire to, lol)
Ambulance chasers and similar are a very special breed. They have networks of scum physicians that will sign just about any statement for a buck to make a case.
This sounds like something up @burtoutmedic’s alley. I wonder what happened to that guy. He wanted a CLS550 but then vanished.
He slinging metal now (or at least trying to) lol
Ok??? Why even comment if you didn’t have anything constructive to contribute to the situation?!
Because they were tagged by someone else to provide input/nonlegal advise? It was just a post above their comment
U mad bro?
I had a comment queued up, and then I realized he said the following above:
- No money
- Likely incoming wage garnishment
- Totaled vehicle
- Being sued
- Insurance company doesn’t have his back
SF is a nightmare. I used to work with someone whose house burned down in the Woolsey Fire a few years ago. She was significantly underinsured as it was a grandfathered policy (due to high fire hazard) and they still put her thru a wringer and underpaid her. ABSOLUTELY ZERO COMPASSION! The adjuster knew she was a single woman in her 60s who barely escaped fire with nothing but her glasses and a nightgown and her dog by jumping into a neighbor’s car… still screwed her over every step of the way.
Their auto insurance is equally screwy. Expect to be told that you “failed to maintain proper lookout” absolutely no matter what happened and being deemed at fault regardless of the facts. We got exactly that in all three incidents including when I got rear-ended at a full stop and the other driver didn’t even try to argue that it 100% their fault. SF insisted that I was somehow 100% at fault. Then they claimed that my nearly brand new EQS was already missing the rear bumper before the accident. I literally had to ask them WTF they thought was the white thing on the ground in the accident pix! Then the same BS with the hatchback lid gaps and then damages right above the bumper. Took full 3 months to get it fixed when it should have been 7-10 day job.
Two other highly questionable accidents including one that appeared to be staged/fake/pre-existing damages and the other party damages didn’t even match a ding on our car. SF is more than happy to pay out and raise their insured’s premiums by 50% the first year and keep them inflated for SIX YEARS.
If anyone is in a similar position and wants to take on SF, please LMK.
