The market for these just evaporated. You might have better luck in FB marketplace/CL, or swapalease/leastrader etc. GLWT!

It’s a very tough sell at this price. Carmax is always overpriced, and they are underselling you. You will get under $38K to a private buyer or lower otherwise.

what contributes to a huge depreciation 1 year after purchasing? is it the 7500 tax credit?

Tesla’s EV price war. Tesla dropped their prices by $10 to $40k on their EVs. Other EV makers followed, and as a result the value of every EV has dropped significantly. The $7500 tax credit has been around forever, in one shape or another.

Makes sense now. Thank you.

This, and the fact that Tesla still qualifies for the $7500, KIA doesnt.

You would get a brand new model Y for less than this used price when you net out the tax savings.

Tesla has killed resale values for anyone who bought one prior to their price wars, but they have also killed their competition in the short term. No one is paying more money for EV’s unless perhaps the low volume Mercedes/Porsches/etc that are higher tier market products.
