[FOR NJ] Best Tesla Deals - Lease or Purchase

, ,

Tesla was running a special lease rate for the RWD Model 3, it likely has ended with the price cut so the lease numbers probably have not changed much, maybe even worse. But I don’t have the before and after to compare.

I can’t be sure but I think my 12/36 lease numbers with 0 down were lower when the prices was 42990 (back in Feb) than what it shows now. I cleaned up my HD and deleted screenshots I had taken so can’t be 100% certain.

Just plug your numbers in use the current lease calculator on the Tesla website, compare the payments.

Is it sometime in late July this year? Or late July 2024? Have they already mentioned anything?

that website info looks out of date, not sure tesla is running that rate for lease or not

Last year it started in August, I believe.

I did. I just don’t remember what the exact numbers were back in Feb. I had screenshot taken back then but I deleted them.

The actual payment is higher due to tax and other fees etc so not comparable.

But I am pretty confident they bumped up the MF OR reduced the RV or both, with the latest price cut.

Yes, July 25th I believe was the start date in 2022.

Hello, I’m in the same boat like your friend. Order time stamped before incentive cutoff time. DL and signed incentive sheet sent back to Tesla right away. But store won’t adjust the price.

We have contacted NJ BPU and was told TWICE that the order would be eligible. But Tesla won’t honor it.

The car has been delivered to the dealership lot 4/18/2023 but we are refusing delivery until they apply the $4000 which was confirmed by the state.

This is turning into a nightmare. Any help would be appreciated!

If you are on Facebook join the Tesla model 3 New Jersey group. Bunch of other folks there in this situation

Thank you so much!
I just applied to join.
Hopefully we can work out a resolution together.

She called the Paramus dealership and they said that they have no say and that it was the state decision. Than she called the main cuatomer service number and they said that she should see the change and the 4k incentive 2 days before delivery… is like every time u talk to them they all have a different answer. As per state you guys should get it as long as at tesla sends the paperwork to the state before may 1st. But who knows what Tesla is actually going to do.

I seem to be in similar boat. Ordered my M3RWD on 4/12 and was super excited. Instantly received a VIN and a delivery date of 4/21. (Since delayed until Monday 4/24 bc car is not there yet) Paid my part of money due, completed lease app, sent over the NJ CHarge UP rebate application instantly, etc. Everything approved and ready to go…Then the $4,000 disappeared a couple days ago… I called and the guy on phone from Tesla said he has been through a few NJ incentives coming and going and the rules always change…but I should see the $4000 reapplied 24hrs before delivery but he could not confirm 100 percent.

So I guess my wait is on until Monday. On the brighter side, the lease payment was adjusted for the price reduction and if all goes well, my payment dropped to $378 for a 36/15k lease, down from $402.

So now just waiting on car to arrive and a process to get rebate applied. Reading the state website, I see no reason why we would not receive it. All of my dates are lined up and in line with NJ expectations. I hope Tesla can figure this out.

I also just applied to the FB group to keep myself up to date on what is happening. Hoping to have this car in hand soon.

There is no (lack of) customer service like Tesla customer service.

They want these cars delivered so they will ultimately figure it out but not before agitating the customers caught in the middle.

Keep the faith guys. It’s going to work out. (I think)

is it too late for the game?
I saw the rebate from NJS ends at 4/17/2023

I really hope this is the case. Looking forward to delivery on Monday afternoon with no hiccups.

Seems that way. Reading NJ website says orders had to be placed by 4/17 at 9pm

missed one billion :crying_cat_face:

After the price cut you’re not in a bad position.

And if the next phase gets funded it should be back for the next fiscal year starting in July.
