First Email to a Dealer

,

So I’ve only been here for a day, but looking to get into a lease quickly before returning to work in September. My quick tour around the forum seems to show that BMW’s are a great option right now. I went on my local dealers site and found a 330i that is like to email them about. Here’s the link: https://www.bmwofmtlaurel.com/new/BMW/2019-BMW-330i-Mount-Laurel-2544b0d60a0d0c146b3954ec59505bc0.htm

  1. Does a 330i with these options make it more difficult to work a deal? I.E. the m sport package.

  2. I’m not versed enough just yet to work the calculator. Would anyone be able to put it together for me so I can see where I’d stand on this vehicle? 36/10 with MSD.

First of all, I’d start by looking on cargurus.com, and sort by oldest listing. Dealers generally are more willing to give better dealer discounts on older inventory. Expand your search within a couple hundred miles and send some emails to dealers. Come back once you have a full breakdown of the lease from the dealer(s), and then someone may help plug the numbers in the calculator. Make sure they don’t mark up the money factor.

So if I’m going to email a dealer requesting a quote, what type of items do I need them to write up so I can ensure I come back here with the proper information. A quick search on car gurus.com yielded the following results with 330i xdrive with the m sport package:

This is the oldest vehicle of the bunch: https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/new/searchresults.action?sourceContext=homePageNewCarTab_true_0&selectedEntity=d1512&zip=08053#listing=232286323

There are so many email to dealer threads on here . . .
