About to graduate and need to lease a car for my final semester and for my job afterwards. I have narrowed it down to 3 cars:
RAV4 XLE
Kia K5 EX
Camry SE
I would be in a large southern city, so I am leaning the RAV4 since it is shorter and therefore easier to park and navigate in a city. Does anyone have any suggestions or opinions on which would be best? All around the same price, all FWD.
Get someting small such as a civic, I don’t see why a brand new graduate needs a ,
Mini SUV
Sporty Sedan
Long Sedan.

Why did you pick these 3 cars? And why lease? You will most likely go over miles on a brand new car.
This is easily the most practical and reasonable list I have seen from a recent grad on here. All of these cars indicate “responsibility.”
Also, what did OP say that indicates they may be at risk of going over miles?

I would test drive all of them and see which you like the most. They’re all good options and all within a similar range. I don’t know Kia well, but if you can land a 2020 Camry or Rav, that’s your sweet spot.

All he did was list 3 cars. And say he’s graduating. That’s all I saw and all I can recommend is a nice small compact starter…and to buy it.

I do recommend a reliable car, and something affordable to run and maintain. Especially as a new grad.
Everything your brought up is reasonable, more so than the M340xi or M3 used leasing threads of ages past, but leasing in Texas means you’re paying the full sales tax for the car, for using it for 3 years, or whatever the term is, unless you get a tax credit or like program. @derekoh can help with Toyota info.
Another option is to look into purchasing a reasonably priced and reliable car, leasing isn’t the mean all be all silver bullet. Also check out the Texas bolt leases if it meets your needs.
I agree wholeheartedly. There is definitely more options than what OP brought up alone, and exploring all, or most of the more responsible ones is the best possible course of action.
I’m not saying I agree, but the rav4 is a very reliable suv, the K5 has an amazing warranty, and the Camry, well it’s a Camry. It’s a very reasonable list of cars that has a wide spread (agree on that) but are all reasonable and reliable vehicles.
Come on it’s more refreshing than a M340xi ‘I’m 19 with no provable income’ sort of deal.
Ok i agree, this post is miles above some of the stuff ive seen here lately. But still wondering why three different kinds of cars? These are really 3 kinda styles.
RAV4 XLE would be ideal choice!
I picked these 3 cars since I liked them the best. I looked at the civic/corolla and it was too small. I have driven my parents car before, this would be my first vehicle that is only mine.
All three are practically the same. Pick the one you can get the BEST deal on. If they’re all roundabout the same, then you can split hairs and decide which one you like better.
They are super different, since I do not really know what I need. I like how the RAV4 has cargo space for when I move and the Camry for the reliability. The K5 is kind of an odd man out, I just really like the new look, though it might not be a good idea since it is different from the Camry and RAV4.

It’s a lease. There’s no reason to expect any difference in reliability during the lease period between them.

I prefer the rav 4 over the camry , I went with Toyota as I knew it would be worth more then I paid when the lease ended. Figured if it made it the 3 years with no issues it would be worth buying.
