Federal EV tax credit overhaul

Filing Amended returns for 2022…this is going to be fun when you take delivery in say 2025.

You’re right. I got mine 8/11

Any updates on if this $7500 lease credit through leases is going away?

Theres nothing openly known coming down the pipeline that would have any effect on it.

Max pack config? Frankly the only way I’d even consider one.

Thanks, hoping Volvo brings back the Costco discount to combine with XC90 T8.

hi all, does tesla pass on the $7500 credit on lease? If so how does the computation work, anyone with experience?

thanks

They do not, at least not directly as a cap cost reduction

does any one know if the new 2024 GLE plug-in hybrid will get the tax credit?

I heard you need a 7kwh battery to get credit for the plug-in and the car comes with an 11kwh battery, I think!

Where is it assembled?

Final Assembly Requirement

The vehicle must undergo final assembly in North America.

You can find your vehicle’s weight, battery capacity, final assembly location (listed as “final assembly point”) and VIN on the vehicle’s window sticker.

To qualify, a vehicle must:

  • Have a battery capacity of at least 7 kilowatt hours
  • Have a gross vehicle weight rating of less than 14,000 pounds

There is no final assemble requirement for leases, so it still may be available for a lease if mbfs passes it through.

Yea, but I wish I knew how much they cost.

I spend 10k on fuel per year per truck anyway, so just going electric will be massive saving in terms of fuel cost.

not including everything else that comes in terms of saving such as oil changes and other stuff.
