EV Down Payments

You guys really don’t want to be beta testers for a new VW Group product. You’re talking JLR levels of rolling dice

Two years is a long time. So who knows what other vehicles might peak my interest then.

This reminded me of my EV Silverado reservation 3 years ago.

I just put in my refund request.

Haha! What else are you looking to get?

At this moment? Nothing, I got a Hyundai Tucson PHEV instead.

I just forgot that I put a deposit on the Silverado and went online to cancel the order and put a different credit card than the original (since that number is long gone) and hope I see a credit soon.

Around Xmas I will be looking but then the rebate will be gone and it will be tough.

I also put a deposit down for a Rivian R2. We shall see what happens in two years.:joy:

Not to be the grammar police, but it’s “pique” my interest. It’s pronounced the same, but spelled differently.

Ooops! I was totally talking about the Slate. Not the Scout. Lol.

I wish Ford would make a Maverick EV!

Thanks for the correction. :joy:

Long live broker postings that are like this:

$399/month 80k SUV!

…clicks link

+$3500 down + taxes/drive-offs. Does not include broker fee.

They make a PHEV Maverick, but wont sell it in the US, wonder why

I’m starting this

Sounds like a solid deal in the current climate for a 80k suv! What is it im looking

I believe the site owners have reminded all brokers and dealers that do business on this site, to clearly state the amount due at signing in their listings.

lol! I’ve got the perfect loaded EQB for you.

Yes of course ev

Never put any money down on a lease. If you want to reduce your payment a little use MSD if available. It gets returned at lease end. Money down never gets returned. Instead take that down payment put in the bank and withdraw X amount each month to offset the monthly payment over the lease life.

How much is a good value to pay to self insure against that small risk?

Great advice! Put that money down in a high yield savings account. I also heard this advice from Dave Ramsey!
