Well the ford lightning didn’t last long.

Not surprised. 9/30/25 was a get-out clause for poorly executed strategy, tell the street it’s a one-time, non-recurring expense.

By the time the last one is sold, it will have made a 5-year run. How long should a first-generation EV platform last?

Ford is shifting to lower priced EVs. Like others will. The midsize EV truck will be interesting.

All Farley was talking about on cnbc in the morning was building affordable Hybrids and EREVs.

But then they said no PHEV rangers…which is really odd

A BEV mid-size truck will probably sell better and EREV tech is arguably better than PHEV or hybrid.

The hybrid Maverick is surprisingly affordable and a decent truck. If only Ford would update their interiors and entertainment systems on the non-100k models.

The cope is strong. Ford throws in the towel on the EV folly but yeah man like EVs for-EVAH!

EvGo has given me $85 Credit to use till December 31st, wish I knew sooner-don’t know why it was issued, maybe a promo as I haven’t charged there for over a year now… anyone else get this???

If Toyota actually makes the scout look out

Yes, now that they’ve finally gotten around to updating interiors to match the koreans and other Japanese. Their foray into the BZVXIJA or whatever it was named was a complete disaster. They do hybrids so well I have know idea what possessed them to not just double down on that.

If they can ever get the Highlander hybrid into the upper 30’s/mid 40’s it’ll instantly be a best seller.

Sounds about right, $0.58-$0.70 per kWh
Will try and fill the Tesla this week and one more time before 12/31 :call_me_hand:

Oh, I read my fine print it’s part of a GM credit as I had a Bolt previously

Some cars still offering EV rebate. How long that will continue?

All That Magic GIF by Nickelodeon

The same thing that possessed all brands to make highly unprofitable EVs. Difference is Toyota wasted the least amount of money on them

Profit margins are like 7-8% there’s no chance of a full size hybrid in the 30s. New rav 2026 is gonna be in the 40s
