All this years I never knew I can have equity at the end of lease. 
my tacoma was ending on may 10 and was supposed to return it this weekend. Came across some topics here about how hot car market right now due to low inventory so dediced to get some offers fron carvana, vroom, carmax, shift and autonation. Took an equity of about $8000.

Don’t worry, the current situation is insane and not a reflection of most leases in the past.
8000? Buy it and sell it and take a 2k tax hit.
This means you will have no trouble donating $100 to the forum since it made you 8k.
