⚡️ endeavorauto / Chevrolet / Bolt EV & Bolt EUV @MSRP, eligible for $7500 fed tax credit + $4000 CUNJ (NJ residents)

The dealer I work with is in NJ, the MSRP deal should be open to anyone out of state but you will need to pick up the car in NJ.

Is there any dealership near Wilmington or Philly??
If not, then need to find a local broker or dealership to sell it as MSRP or discount.

Thanks,

Am I correct that these do not qualify for the Federal rebate until Jan 1?

It’s doesn’t become eligible to qualify until January, it’s is still not confirmed if it will qualify after the fact.

Any idea if the NJ Chargeup will stack with the federal credit in 2023?

According to the state of NJ in the Charge Up NJ Terms of Conditions Section I, Part C:

“Changes to the Program: In the event the federal government establishes a new incentive or tax credit for EVs effective during the FY23 Program, Board Staff may reduce the amount of the Program incentive by up to 50 percent to ensure the efficacy and solvency of the Program.”

Currently you can get a state incentive on any vehicle that is currently eligible for a federal tax credit at this moment. In light of the Inflation Reduction Act, the federal tax credit has actually taken away more of the tax credit on vehicles rather than adding more. I am not sure if NJ can only take away the rebate on a singular vehicle while others are disadvantaged because of the IRA. I would not hope they reduce the rebate in light of the revised IRA tax credit.

Three More!

any more EUV coming-up?

Wow, I’m surprised the Super Cruise models have shipped already. When I last checked this summer, the consensus seemed to be that it would take a year or longer.

They’ve been shipping for awhile now! Here is a picture the first time I used it.

I found out that you can’t test drive SuperCruise because you need to have an active OnStar subscription to be able to use it, but you can’t activate it until after you get the car.

If anyone wants to try it, let me know and we can work something out!

It’s insane that they would overlook something like that. You would think that they would be able to use some sort of Demo mode or dealer account number to register the car somehow, or be provided an demo model with it enabled. I just took it on blind faith but it wasn’t my money being spent on it. It’s a shame because it does work well, people justifiably would like to see it in action.

Is this eligible for the $3500 / $7000 federal credit slated for Jan 1, 2023?

Pending official guidance from the IRS, the battery guidance regarding the components and minerals origin has been delayed and is said to be released in March. In the mean time, from Jan 1 to the release of the critical mineral and battery component requirements, the original IRA plans including income restrictions, MSRP caps, and more importantly manufacturer 200,000 unit cap removal will go into effect. For what that means for buyers it is still unknown if a North American assembled vehicles sold Jan 1 onward will be eligible for a full $7500 or $3750.

Official guidance from Treasury is expected before the end of the year.
