Edit: Signed! Volvo S60 T6 R Design w/ Polestar

Costco asks dealers to give them a discount to share with its members. So when you go through the Costco site to buy a specific car they send your lead to the dealer that gave the best discount on the model and trim you requested. It’s a discount, not an incentive and not a rebate. Costco buyers are good because they don’t really negotiate too hard because they are novices are car buying but you could do better.

You can select any dealer you want from the choice of 3 that Costco gives you based on your zip code. So if you want to buy from a specific dealer 100 miles away you just enter their zip code. Has nothing to do with “the best discount”, IMO

I believe you’re correct that it’s a discount. The dealer still made me give my Costco card and submit a form online with Costco in order to validate my discount.

That said, I signed the deal and am very happy with this car.

My final deal is $1000 DAS and $432/mo including all taxes and fees. It’s a T6 R Design w/ polestar and 49,980 MSRP

Aside from closing the deal at what I felt comfortable paying, I LOVE this car. I haven’t felt this much fun driving a car since my 2012 G37

What is the polestar option do? How the ride with the 19’s wheel is more harsh than the 18’s?

Polestar is a tuning option for your power train. From what I understand it’s mostly software, and can be added after purchase as well from a Volvo dealer.

It increases performance by increasing HP, and torque.

KAlso regarding the 19s I don’t think there is a difference that I can feel between test driving the 18s and driving on my 19s. I CAN say that it looks amazing!

You don’t really feel the difference between 18 and 19 inch wheels with regular driving; the feeling will come from choppy roads.

That being said, 19 inch wheels bend and dent easier than 18 and tires tend to be more expensive. Probably things you wouldn’t care about on a leased car.

Here’s my new ride. Thanks to everyone on the forum for their help!

I was Costco certified with Cody at Tustin… Those three must have had the same discount. Did you sell cars to Costco members everyday too?

I’m saying that you can pick any participating dealer you want and get the same deal through Costco, whether there is “special” discounts Costco gets or not. They send your lead to the dealer that you select. And you are saying… what? That some dealers will go deeper just because their arrangement with Costco? Official Costco deal is at invoice, the rest is up to the dealer.
I’m talking only about Volvo here and receiving the PIN, since it’s a Volvo thread.

I see. Yeah it’s a Volvo thread. No Costco works different, better actually. I’ll explain it when I see a Costco thread. I don’t want another post flagged. Still learning the rules.

ohh there is alot of construction where i live so i wondering if more sidewall with the 18’s would help with the ride. Seems like 95% of the T6’s i see come with 900 option of 19’s.

Larger tire sidewalls are better for choppy roads. Just ask Chevy and their 20 inch lightweight wheels on the corvette.

Hi. Great looking car. Where in SoCal did you buy your Volvo?
