Early lease return

Hi everybody

I will end up consuming my three year allocation of 36k miles in two years. If I sell the car early then with lease pay off, there is a deficit of $10k. What are my options, can I pay off the remaining 12 leases one year prior to lease completion as one lump sum payment?

If you keep the car and drive as usual then depending your mile rate (0.20/mile) you would be only 2k/2k loss depending on 10k/15k miles per year lease.
So I will keep the car and run as nothing happened. If you lease allows then you can try to buy extra miles too.

You can always turn it in early and get billed the remaining payments. More details about the mystery car might get you more answers. Or maybe go grab another cheap lease to supplement this, Bolt comes to mind or a :taco:

Sorry my bad, this is a BMW 3 series with a monthly payment of around $430…my commute increased from 20 miles to and fro to 120 miles :slightly_smiling_face:
I am putting around 18-20k miles per year instead of the allotted 12k

Transfer it with an incentive(if needed) or just keep driving it, the extra miles will run you about $150/mo. But don’t drive it out of warranty. Or grab something to supplement

BMW allows you to adjust your miles/payment during your lease so just call BMW Financial and discuss it with them. The bigger question is how many miles do you have left on your warranty?

I will end up driving 12-15k over allocated warranty of 36k miles. Is that advisable or what are the cons of doing that other than potential maintenance costs?

15k miles at $.25 is $3,750. Better than a $10k loss. The warranty is definitely the issue.

BMW warranty is 4 years, 50k. Not 3/36. You may be confusing with free maintenance.

BMW warranty is 4/50k, not 36k.

Thanks a bunch guyz. I will contact BMW and buy additional miles to last till 50k (till the warranty lasts)

Hi, sorry to bump an old post. I have an Ariya lease up in about 6 months and wondering if by then the 7500 ev incentive will still be going, as well as wanting to take advantage of chargeup Nj. Would I be able to return this to Nissan without having to pay the remaining payments or would I be able to return to a non Nissan Dealership and take out a lease with them? If anyone has any clarity on this matter it would be greatly appreciated.
