Welcome to March, CO hackrs. Mazda inventory is pretty robust nowadays. I have almost 400 Mazdas on the ground right now with the bulk being CX-5, CX-30, CX-50 and CX-9. With that said, some S and Select trims are very limited and are available to brokers on a limited basis. All other trims are pretty plentiful.

36 / 10 Mazda residuals tend to be in the mid/upper 50s but there are quite a few subsidized money factors to offset that a bit, It’s always better to pay for depreciation over interest (IF you had to choose between the two). I don’t have invoices for all models and trims but here are some rates / residuals across various Mazda models. All are for 36 / 10k leases. If interested in learning more about a specific Mazda lease, please email me at dparysz@centleasing.com.

2023 CX-9

Have you plugged both scenarios into an LH calculator?
Are you just laying out potential deals based on research or is this what you have offered from a dealer?
Is your trade-in equity is purely based on an Edmunds value or what a dealer actually offered you?

This is what was offered to me. Maybe they give me $500 less on the value for the CX-5, but its below mileage and in terrific condition. The dealership is coming in less than the calculator on these numbers.

Well if the dealer is coming in less than the calculator than some input must be off… but at least they’re lower not higher.

If it was me, I would go with the 36 month term but I also wouldn’t put all that trade equity down in a lease. With an effective rent charge of 1.2%, put as little as possible down and let the rest of your equity make a higher return somewhere else. However, if you prefer to see a smaller payment every month, you do you. Also, again this is personal preference but if I were putting that large chunk down, I’d want that to impact 3 years of payments not 2. Not to mention, the .00001 mf on a 24 month lease is practically interest free so why buy down that payment?

Also, where do you live that there’s a 11% tax rate?!

Welcome to May, CO hackrs. Mazda inventory continues to be pretty strong with the majority of inventory being CX-30, CX-5 and CX-50. Below are lease examples of models/trims with the most inventory and that have low MFs so you’re at least paying for depreciation and not interest, hopefully putting you in a positive equity position at lease maturity. All leases below are based on 36 month / 10k terms and with just first month’s payment due at signing. CX-30 Premium and CX-50 Turbo Meridian have small rebates where sales tax will have to be paid on those respective rebates at signing or rolled into the payments.

2023 CX-30
Preferred (MSRP of $29,735) - $418 plus tax
Premium (MSRP of $33,065) - $457 plus tax

2023 CX-5
Premium (MSRP of $34,440) - $493 plus tax
Premium+ (MSRP of $37,370) - $513 plus tax

2023 CX-50
Premium+ (MSRP of $38,425) - $573 plus tax
Turbo Meridian Ed. (MSRP of $42,390) - $594 plus tax

Notes

  • Other models and trims available but with much more limited availability; please email me if you’re looking for something else; CX-90s are not currently offered by my dealer network

Update: 12/18/23 - All example pricing reduced by $10/month through 12/31/23

Welcome to December Colorado Hackrs,

All Mazda models are available and lease pricing is the best we’ve seen it all year especially on CX-5s and CX-30s. CX-90 PHEV leases continue to be underwhelming due to the high money factor but if you factor in the $5k CO credit, it could be a decent option depending on what you’re trying to achieve. Practically all models and trims are available with a few exceptions. Below is a list of example leases on the most popular trims; I’m sorry I just can’t list everything! I’ve included some remaining 2023 CX-30s as well which will save you a few bucks as well. If interested in any Mazda model, please email me at dparysz@centleasing.com for a more detailed quote with your taxes included.

2023 CX-30 Preferred ($30,xxx MSRP)
Monthly: $371 plus tax
Total DAS: First payment + taxes on $720 rebate

2023 CX-30 Carbon Edition ($31,xxx MSRP)
Monthly: $402 plus tax
Total DAS: First payment + taxes on $720 rebate

2023 CX-30 Premium ($33,xxx MSRP) ← this is the CX-30 to get
Monthly: $409 plus tax
Total DAS: First payment + taxes on $720 rebate

2024 CX-30 Select Sport ($28,xxx MSRP)
Monthly and total DAS: $363 plus tax

2024 CX-30 Preferred ($30,xxx MSRP)
Monthly and total DAS: $389 plus tax

Hi Drew! Do you have any updated numbers on the CX-90 ICEs?

Hi Colorado Hackrs,

Now through the end of the February I have two CX-90 Premium Pluses PHEVs that need a home! I have others but these are the two most aggressively prices ones I have. Must take delivery by 2/29/24. Here are what the current leases look like on them.

Color options

  • Rhodium white on black
  • Artisan red on ivory

2024 Mazda CX-90 Premium Plus PHEV ($59,620)
Term: 24 month / 12k miles
Monthly payment: $458 plus tax!
Total DAS: First payment + sales tax on $12,850 rebates
OR
Term: 36 month / 12k miles
Monthly payment: $554 plus tax
Total DAS: First payment + sales tax on $12,850 rebates

Notes

  • This is only available for residents of Colorado due to CO EV rebate
  • 10k and 15k leases available as well
  • There are only 2 vehicles available at the quoted price

If interested in these CX-90 PHEVs or any other Mazda, please contact me at dparysz@centleasing.com

Strong deal for CO, looks like about $3k off MSRP with buy rate but why is the $5k state tax refund taxed in the deal? It would not be taxed if I just claimed it with my tax return, it is not a manufacturer incentive…

All CO EV rebates, regardless of manufacturer, are taxed when applied as a cap cost reduction.
