Does anyone know how to permanently fix the Audi Q5 Bluetooth/CarPlay issue?

Recently, my Q5 has not been responding with the CarPlay Bluetooth connection at all.

The Audi Q5’s wifi is recognized on my iPhone from the car but the Bluetooth is switched off on the car and not showing up on my iPhone or even when I plug it in at times.

I’ve done the MMI reset several times with no luck.

What I do now to activate the Bluetooth is something weird.

Whenever I open the OBDeleven application (literally, just open it) with making any setting changes, the CarPlay starts to work again.

Does anyone know why or know how to have it functioning normally?

I had a 2020 S4 with a similar CarPlay/Bluetooth issue. When I took it in for service I mentioned it to my dealer and they had a TSB for the telemetry unit. They replaced that unit under warranty and CarPlay/Bluetooth was back to working normally.

They told me, Audi is not letting them replace any parts & cannot replace the unit.

Has anyone else been told this was only a software issue?
