Do you continue w this sales advisor?

,

So the second response from a sales advisor at an Audi dealer is; “do you want the lowest overall price, or lowest payments.”?
This looks like it will lead to a waste of time?

Tell him that you want both and see what he says

Shouldn’t the lowest price mean the lowest payment? Unless he’s going to admit to massively marking up the MF.

Almost sounds like the salesperson is asking if he wants to put a down payment or not. He could word it much better though.

That’s a good point, Jon.

Sounds like a scammer or inexperienced salesperson…in any event…move on, you can do much better

Someone posted about dealer increasing the agreed upon sales price by adding dealer installed options, but kept the same as agreed payments. So there are multiple ways around this.

Sneaky sneaky scammers!

I’d ask for a four square

skip to the manager.

His title is, “internet sales manager “ :grimacing:

We call em product specialists from where I hail

This person is basically asking on which side you want the butter

If you have time, you can play the game, otherwise, just go upstream to the next sales rank.

His next question guaranteed will be “do you have time to come in today?”

Those titles are pretty useless in some cases these days. The “Internet sales manager” I was talking to on my previous lease was nothing more than a BDC employee getting your name. Couldn’t desk a deal and was pretty painful to work with before the 4th time insisting on speaking to sales manager.

In my mind, an ISM should be able to desk a deal, but in reality, most of the time, it’s a glorified peon behind the computer.

He asked that on the first email :joy:. That’s their favorite strategy.

“Lowest price overall” is the only correct answer. Why is there a discussion?

B/c some people can’t do math or don’t want to bother w/ haggling or have other mitigating circumstances that might allow them to make a big downpayment but not a bigger monthly payment of X period?
