Do dealerships give tax credit benefit on leases?

So I’m currently looking into leasing a Volvo S60 T8 Phev and I was wondering if it is common for dealerships to factor in the ev tax credit in the deal to reduce monthly payments. Correct me if I’m wrong, as my understanding is that because I will be leasing this car I don’t get any tax benefit from it, the dealership does and the dealership can choose to give me some benefit. Any input is appreciated, even about leasing a S60 T8!

Well the leasing company gets the credit not the dealer.

Volvo doesn’t pass the full credit on the S60 rn afaik.

People frequently get this wrong and make an embarrassment of themselves at the dealer fighting for this credit.

The lessor owns the car which is Volvo Car Financial Services

It’s at their discretion to pass the benefit into the lessee in the form of lease cash.

They do it for their BEVs, didn’t know they didn’t for the PHEVs

Ahaha I see, that’s why I wanted to make sure so I don’t look like a fool when I approach the dealership
