Discount plans, is there a plan thats better than the rest

So i work for a large company and our company offers discounts on automobiles. i know deals change all the time with promotions and what not, but was wondering does one of the plan top them all? Or is it really just specially what discount is available that month?

Nissan/Infiniti its the vpp
Volvo - A PLAN
Mitsu - VIP program
Ford- x plan
GM- Supplier discount program
MB- FLEET
CHRYSLER/DODGE/JEEP - AFFILIATE REWARD PROGRAM

The ones that offer fixed pricing are typically worse than the ones that offer a code for a fixed amount off a vehicle as you can typically negotiate that fixed price discount (4-6%) off very easily.

Volvo Aplan bonus of 3000 on the S90 has been strong, Infiniti VPP code for 1250-1750 off is also strong, especially since both programs let you negotiate below the fixed price discount and then apply the benefit, for now.

Can you clarify the VPP one. Website says “invoice price” no real mention of the extra $1k+. Where do you see the extra money?

The strategy with Infiniti is to negotiate your best price and then spring VPP on them (much like Volvo and Aplan). Infiniti will negotiate below invoice (as they apparently have many unpublished dealer incentives) and then the VPP adds an additional discount. @HN308 might be able to explain it better as he has been posting killer Infiniti deals lately (And they all include an additional 1500 discount for VPP).

Does anyone have any experience leasing a Jeep Grand Cherokee using the Chrysler Affiliate Rewards Program? It says you can get 1% below invoice. Is it also best to stay silent on this until I’ve negotiated the best possible price, then spring it on them hoping they can go lower? Does anyone know if this program results in the dealership getting a kickback from Chrysler?

Paging @Benedetto as he does many CJDR deals and given his region of the country, would know the ins and outs of Chrysler affiliate pricing.
