You really need to know how lease payments/DAS come about. You can get MF/RV for your trim/term at Edmunds lease forums and input into calc with your target discount/incentives…the calc has a tutorial in the Wiki…otherwise you really don’t know what is possible. Relying on ads is probably the worst thing you can do. Learn the actual math.
Hmm, I never considered financing. I’ll look into it.
Thank you sir, but I’ve been on LH for a number of years now, and have a degree in Econ/finance.
AutoCompanion [SHOUTOUT] (they’re a broker here) actually has an amazing calculator that does all that for you. (calculator.autocompanion.com)
I’ve cross referenced many deals on LH with their calc and it’s very solid. I basically just use their calc now to research my deals.
I’m actually just now securing an Altima SR deal from them rn.
@delta737h needs to assess whether your degree is any good… Final exam is next Tuesday.
LOL! Delta is a good dude but his bar is pretty high as most people coming here won’t even try the calc let alone put together a spreadsheet…I like his mathing but sadly I’m sure most wont even read.
Hmmmm, as a finance major I’d of thought you have a TCO on lease vs finance vs cash put together…I do that as an EE major!
This happens all the time. That’s why most of us don’t really look at dealer ads as the source of truth. You have to be able to read the fine print and understand that there is always a catch when you see a low monthly payment advertised on a dealer’s website.
As others have said, move on from this dealer. Going forward, use the information from this forum to make dealers an offer (knowing what incentives you qualify for).
A good lesson to learn from this ad in particular is that dealerships like this that are owned (or “owned”) by former professional athletes in major metropolitan areas tend to use that as marketing cachet in order to attract low lying fruit that will be ripe for upsells and/or bait and switches once they are in the building. They wouldn’t keep doing it if it didn’t work.
