Is it typically better to negotiate with a dealer who has the car I want on the lot or is it better to deal with one who would have to find it?
Are there any particular audi dealers in NY NJ area that are known to make good phone deals? I ask because I have an illness that will prohibit me from visiting any dealers. I am purchasing the car for my wife so I really dont need to be there. I am tring to find Audi dealers that will actually work with me over the phone or via Email. Any suggestions?
A broker such as @IAC_Scott is the route you want to take. From an ease of transaction perspective as well as eliminating the risk that the numbers are different when your wife gets to the finance office or she is “sold” on unnecessary add ons that the finance office claims are mandatory or we “already filled the tires with nitrogen” for an extra $300.
On the lot. A dealer that doesn’t have the car will have to find a car, dealer trade it, arrange transport, etc. A lot more time and money to get a car to sell to you.
But as others mentioned, a broker is your best bet here. The deal is already negotiated and they are used to doing everything remotely.
