Dealers not entertaining lease buy-out, 3 payments left

I have a 2021 Nissan Rogue SL AWD - lease ends in 3 months. Trying to get out of it but struggling with getting a dealer to buy the car out. Car has an accident on file so hurting the equity.

How do I get past this? It is year-end and I want to get into a new lease (Volvo or Infiniti) but need to work around this.

Worked with a couple of brokers too but no one has been able to get a dealer to even pick up the last 3 payments and return to Nissan as part of new deal structure. Any advice is much appreciated.

With an accident? Just thank the stars since it is a lease you don’t owe on Negative Equity.

Ride it out, or make 3 payments and walk away, but no dealer wants a ‘Dirty’ carfax car as no one will buy it from them.

wait you messaged me and tried to get me to pay remaining 3 payments on a rogue w a carfax??

Why should a dealer pick up your remaining payments?

You can always keep the Rogue until lease end while looking for another car.

his early term is actually dispo. he doesnt have to make the remaining payments. he can return it and pay dispo, and be done w it. he just doesnt want to pay that, either.

Yikes. Good thing they are not a customer.

no danger of buying anything.

no one wants a car with a strike

I never said I don’t want to pay the dispo - not sure where you picked up that from. I will check the early term details and if it is literally that, then makes sense to just do it.

I thought this community was to help newbies like me. Not to throw shade.

No one is throwing shade. It was pointed out that you had reached out to a broker and was expecting them to eat your remaining payments on a car with an accident.

As I stated earlier, there is nothing stopping you from getting into a new car.

Do the math, does the year end savings justify the 3 extra payments? If it’s just the dispo, get it over with and pay it.

Otherwise, look into third part dealers like carvana and Algo if you can break even at least (doubt it)

They seem to be giving you solid options for a situation where there is a disconnect between what you would like to see happen and what is more likely to happen.

literally early term being dispo is the best option. thats what i told him to do and he still tried to get me to buy the car out.

I appreciate the help - the shade seemed to come from an understanding that I refuse to pay the dispo, which isn’t true. I just simply need to understand what the early term is and if it simply includes the dispo fee, I am very happy to do it.

Please review your text messages. When you said do early term I simply responded with “Aah okay”. You shared your pricing sheet and I said I will review and get back to you. You honestly had my business if you spent two minutes speaking on the phone with me instead of spending the time here putting me down. I really just wanted to be educated and work with someone to get a new car.

You could review your contract or call NMAC. Good luck.

Thank you. Again, appreciate the help.

i never put you down. you mentioned you wanted to hire me to negotiate for you. you don’t have a clue how this works. it does not require a phone conversation. people are able to get points across via text messages.
