First of all, thank you to the Hackers on this forum who have been so helpful to me in my car search.
I have an offer from AutoCompanion that looks good to me but would welcome any feedback.
It’s two years/24,000 on a '24 Hyundai Ionic 5 for a one-pay DAS of 10,079 – that includes all taxes and fees (though not the $400 broker fee I already paid AutoCompanion, or the $400 disposition fee). Base residual of 71%.
I tried to create a calculator, but it comes out at 11,366, not the 10,079 – sorry for newb inability to recreate the one-pay restructure: CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR
Anyhow, my wife and I think it’s a good deal for Northern California, where there’s a lot of demand for these vehicles. The base residual seems high, but that means we’ll probably give it up after 2 years. But I’d love to know what the Leasehackrs think. Thank you.
Yeah, that’s still a pretty good deal considering that it’s a 2024, and I would assume that this is an SE. They took away quiet a few things from the 2024 SEL, so probably not really worth spending extra for an SEL over an SE anymore.
They will send you a list of cars that they have available at different trims, models, etc.
I appreciate them because “what you see is what you get.” No gameplaying or upselling. And $400 is not bad for a broker’s fee – I found that Omega Auto Group was charging $800 for EVs.
You mentioned that you are in nor-cal. From autocompanion posts, their ioniq dealer is in so-cal. Do they also have dealer here in nor-cal or you had to go to so-cal to pick it up?
We used a carrier we bid out through Shiply to have the car shipped from SoCal – it cost $367 – an dthen they up charged us $100 beczuse they got a closed truck instead of an open truck
