Deal Help -- 2025 Honda Prologue Elite

Hey everyone. I’m working on leasing a car for the first time and could use some feedback. The decision to go EV and lease instead of buying a gas car was a little last-minute so I’ve been trying to quickly educate myself. I’ve read through LeaseHackr articles and forum posts and feel like I’m starting to understand the key concepts and numbers now but definitely still learning.

I’m trying to finalize a deal tomorrow so short on time and not very confident in what’s been negotiated. I’m hoping to get some feedback on this potential lease structure. I’ve outlined the numbers below and included the lease worksheet. Any thoughts, red flags, suggestions would be really appreciated. Let me know if I’m missing anything or if more information would help.

Thanks in advance!

MSRP = $59,395

Selling Price = $38,497

Months = 36

Miles/Year = 10,000

Residual = 43% ($25,540)

MF = .00061 (1.46%)

Fess = $1,361.75

Taxes = 9.25% ($1,105.29)

Customer Cash = $0

Monthly Payment = $435.90

I haven’t researched any of the numbers or anything, but that residual value seems super low. Maybe look at a 24 month lease? Might be a better deal.

Good point. Appreciate the feedback.

Love my prologue elite, got the blue, let me look at your numbers and ill post some feedback

That would be great. Thanks in advance… Also nice to hear the positive feedback on the Prologue itself.

I had a dealer discount of 9600 (16%) and rebates of 16300 for a total of 25900 off MSRP

You have a dealer discount of 6214 (10.46%) and rebates of 17550 for a total of 23764 off MSRP.

Have you checked the SIGNED section recently? Im seeing 16-17% dealer discount deals in there.

Thanks again for the response and the suggestion…

I reviewed the SIGNED section and recent transactions but didn’t see anything related to Honda or other deals that informed if this particular discount was good or bad or otherwise. But again, I’m definitely a leasing newbie and could easily be missing something.. I postponed making this deal for maybe a day or two because I’m still not fully confident in the numbers so I’ll keep reviewing for insights..

Mind me asking if the deal for your Prologue reference above was recent?

My deal was from April

Here is one from August

Got it. And thanks for the SIGNED examples as well…

At this point I’m not sure what to do. The deal looks like it might be average – not a particularly bad deal but also nothing great? Maybe next step is to negotiate a little further for a steeper discount, ask for itemization and address some of the fees to lower the cost, 24 versus 36 months, other? Or maybe this is close enough to the likely best deal and it’s time to just pull the trigger.

Any thoughts from anyone out there with more experience would be much appreciated..

And special thanks to Nom_De_Pume for the quick and insightful help.

Send it to every dealer in your area to see if it can be beat. I usually send the screen shot and what I’m trying to be at.
