Deal Check - Wrangler 4xe Sport

, ,

Okay, so we’re getting closer to a decision, and I’ll probably reach out to a couple brokers as well. I thought I’d see how this calculation has gone. I’ll try and send an offer to dealerships in the next couple days, but this is the first time I’ve done anything like this and I’d appreciate any insight, wisdom, reality checks, etc.

Florida lease 24/10K
2024 Wrangler 4xe S Sport
MSRP: $56,450
Discount: 12% - may not fly, but based off some I saw and some chatgpt help
Rebates: $16,500 -National Lease, EV Credit, TDM
RV is 56% for this trim, with MF at 0.00171
Come out to $1548 DAS (1st payment+taxes) and $310/month.

Any thoughts?

Also, if I itemize deductions, I can include large purchases on the sales tax paid portion of my federal taxes. I assume paying them up front would mean I can list the whole amount. Can I do this if I roll the taxes into the lease (like it is for a purchase loan), or does it get messy?

Only if you choose to deduct state and local sales taxes instead of deducting state and local income taxes. You can only deduct one in your itemized deductions from what I remember.

Yup. No income tax for FL, so sales tax all the way. Do you know if I can deduct the whole amount if I roll it in or only if I pay up front?
