I am, in fact, deceased.
I’m so sorry to hear that… when did you die? Did you have an in-ground burial or were you cremated? Mummified? Glad to see that your spirit lives on!
I’m not sure where I indicated that I didn’t have a target. And the primary reason I started the thread, as I mentioned in my first post, is that this particular dealers numbers were off when I was making the same inputs in the Lease Calculator, whereas other dealers numbers were computing within a few dollars.
I understand now where the confusion was: “$0 down” vs “zero drive off”/“$0 DAS,” which led to the misinterpretation. I’ve consistently through this process asked dealership for and received quotes with “no downpayment” and this dealership interpreted that as $0 DAS. I’ve been meaning taxes and first months, and I understand that as the amount being placed in the Lease Calculator as a negative downpayment - as gohawks23 did, and through the explanation through delta737h I understand that the first moths and taxes was pulled from the rebate. When putting that in the Lease Calculator it makes sense.
I also took the advice of another to begin by ignoring their math and negotiating the appropriate price reduction. That was good advice. They wouldn’t budge to get close to the double-digit off MSRP with at or near base MF, so I told them I’m walking.
I do find the conversation helpful. And I still can’t understand why I can’t make the equation work.
2025 BMW i4 M50
MSRP: $77,240
Sales Price: $68,031 (11.9% off: $9,209)
Rebates: $11,900 ($9,900 iLease + $2,000 enhanced loyalty)
MSD: $0
MF: 0.001 (which above the base 0.0008 - they say it is the best they can do).
Term: 36 mo / 7,500 miles per
52% RV
Payment: $614.39
Due-at-Signing: They put $2,950 (first, upfront taxes, ACQ fee, dealer fees)
LeaseHackr Score: 10.2 years - with it slightly more at $618 and with slightly less DAS at $2925.
Sign it and drive it.
He is the thing next to it…selling cars for a living…lmao!
Seems decent…I think I have seen some brokers at 13% off but M50 inventory getting slim (have you looked at i4 deals in CA Marketplace here?)…they are marking up the MF…I’d consider max MSDs as financial ROI is good.

So let’s discuss your target.
The standard and appropriate response is “the best deal.” ![]()
Don’t like the way this lease was structured. Rebates total 11900 and you’re paying 2950 out of pocket at lease signing. Bad idea! A car is not an investment, it’s an expense. Furthermore, if the car is totaled or stolen, you risk losing all or some portion of the 2950. You’re much better off sticking the 2950 under your mattress and using it to subsidize your lease payments. Here is how it shakes out…
Lease Inception Fees
1st payment… 701.81
Rebate CCR… 9362.10
Rebate CCR Tax… 912.80
License… 788.00
EVR… 35.00
Tire Fee… 7.00
Doc Fee… 85.00
Doc Fee Tax… 8.29
TOTAL FEES… 11900.00
Rebate Credit… 11900.00
DAS… 0.00
Bottom line: DAS = 0.00 followed by 35 monthly payments of 701.81 each
A good way to look at this is to recognize that your monthly payment has increased by 87.42. However, you save 2950/36 = 81.94 each month. So, you’re actually paying an additional 5.48 each month. Ask yourself if the additional 5.48 per month is worth having 2950 at risk for reasons given above. Also, you can use that 2950 to invest or to acquire goods and services increasing the productivity of your money.
Lease structure means everything! Have them redo the lease.
This is where being able to have an excel spreadsheet that accurate calculates CCR would be useful.
Does anyone have one?
Adjectives are not a target. Numbers backed by research are a target.
But if you’re more interested in being glib than having that discussion then ignore me and vice versa.
Oh, come on… you’re good with excel. Just put the CCR formula posted above in your spreadsheet.
Apparently not that good delta. As mentioned already tried that. Seriously, I’m just going to throw this into ChatGPT.
Dunno why this isn’t on the net right now.
And Max no disrespect, but I’ve done plenty of research with respect to market price, the base MF, RV. It is unwise to assume I can/should publicly discuss what my target is.
Jeez, thanks!
LOL, just kidding…you guys do a great service…especially for all the people who don’t understand numbers and would get totally raked otherwise!
This seems to be a very solid deal. Minimize your down payment and sign the deal. The longer you wait the more likely the inventory disappears before end of the month. How much is your time worth to save a couple more bucks?
We’ve learned not to ask questions like that. ![]()
Now this explains a thing or two… or 27.
LOL
Delta/prof is the best! ![]()
