The only realistic offer is from someone who actually buys your car, and even then not every one of them honors the original offer. KBB is a middle man for sending leads to dealers.

That’s a per dealer thing. If a dealership doesn’t want to lease to out of state customers they don’t have to. It’s their dealership, their rules. Most likely those rules were set by the owner, an executive ir a GM. We see that frequently enough on here.

Odd. Alabama doesn’t seem like a weird state to lease in (looks at Delaware and Massachusetts). Try the other Charlotte store, University, though. That isn’t too terrible of a drive from Alabama
I’m going to NC this weekend and going right through Charlotte. Got a quote from University. It’s not very good either. Did get a quote through Johnson and it was horrible. $805 on a $53K car.
