Deal Check Subaru Ascent Premium 375 w/2000 DAS Norcal area

Looking for a sub 400 SUV in the Norcal area. Leasehakr forum pointed to Subaru Ascent as having least MSRP. Got a deal for a Premium version of the Ascent for $375 per month and $2000 DAS.
MSRP: 40500
Actual SP: 34500
Dont know if I am using the calculator right but comes to ~8 years. Is it a good deal?

Newbie here, please be gentle

Post a link to your best attempt at the LH calculator

yeah, worksheet says 6K discount

Show the worksheet, you can hide some details if you want to keep the deal private

nothing else on the work sheet other than fees and tax total of 3K. Just says lease option 2000 DAS and 375 per month

Seems like a good deal. If you don’t go EV, this is probably the lowest I have seen on a comparable sized SUV

thanks, will send more details when i go in to sign today

Yeah, the discount seems healthy and the money factor seems to be what it should be without BS markups.

If you’re completely agnostic to color and demo/loaner status… Placerville Subaru has this demo unit. Maybe they can beat your deal if they’re ready to take this out of their fleet? Probably not worth the risk to take it sight unseen to save a few bucks haha.

Thanks! Yeah color is not important, was tempted by that (shingle springs will be a drive too) but most likely will settle for the 2024 one here.

Wait, wait, wait… Subaru lease loaner/demos? Also, how do you know it’s a demo? (yes, some times things need to be spelled out for me)

There’s no magic sauce for this… I think everyone has their weird ways to target fart cars. I guess the easiest way is to try and get a loaner through a LH broker? heh.

I think @li8625 spends 120% of his free time hunting BMW loaners to try and offer 30% off MSRP with buy rate MF.

But just to sense check the Subaru lease on that one I linked, I emailed the internet sales manager (Jeff) at Shingles Springs. He confirmed that VIN is a demo/loaner… but he said they usually run their demo/loaners 6 months, and that vehicle was only in service as a loaner for 3 months so far.

Unfortunately, Subaru won’t allow leases on former loaners. So the dealership just kick their old loaners to CPO and sell via cash/loan.
