Don’t know adjusted cap cost.

Go to Wiki here and learn how to put a target payment and DAS together using LH calc or just pay a broker.

I don’t quite understand how you don’t know the adj cap cost, if you have the selling price and incentive and how you have listed a $2944 DAS that doesn’t seem to include a $2K cap cost reduction.

It’s my first time leasing and negotiating, forgive me as I am still trying to understand the math behind simply putting things into the calculator. Thank you for the suggestion regarding the wiki, I’ve found a document and will apply it to the numbers I was able to gather from speaking with dealer.

In truth the breakdown given to me was $599 per month. Cap reduction of $2000. 0 sales tax up front. $620 in first year fees and $1724 in bank and motor vehicle fees. So total initial payment of $4944 but $2944 due on delivery.

It takes a bit to get up to speed, so don’t be deterred.

While I do not recommend eyeballing a deal as a substitute for gathering inputs and running an accurate calculation, sometimes it can help with a brief sanity check.

This 330i was a loaner, so by nature it should be lower than new unit, but take a quick look (you’ll have to look at the edit history to see the price).

Also, and I don’t know if you’d even want a 530i, but directly below that you’ll find one priced more attractively than the 3 you came to ask about.

Purely from a sanity check perspective, I’d say your original deal is weak, but definitely dive in because understanding in detail why a deal is weak or why it’s strong has similar educational value.

A general rule of thumb is any deal ending in 99 has room for improvement.

And that applies to everything, not just cars.

Let me make it easy for you. Below is the calc I have created for you with your rebates and NJ tax rolled in. This is 13% off msrp deal which I am advertising. If you want to run your own deal use this as a benchmark to see how far are the dealer numbers than what the market is now.
