Deal Check: Lyriq Luxury 2 Loaner NC

,

Hello!

Currently looking to lease a loaner 2024 Luxury 2 with sunroof and charging module are added on for:

MSRP: $70,695
Sale Price: $66,000
Rebates: Conquest ($3k) Bonus Cash $2.5k. Eligible for GM Supplier but saying it can’t be combined with conquest (?)
Mileage: 500-800 miles (there are two in inventory)
Terms: 10/24mo
Residual: .72
MF: .00168
Payment: $607, first payment DAS (I believe this is all that’s due but need to double check taxes and fees, but not putting additional money down).

I used the edmunds calculator but won’t let me put in MF less than .0018, and it has my payments at $719. This is my first attempt at leasing so I feel like I’ve read enough on how to use the calculator but I’m not sure I’m fully grasping, though this does match the MF and residual from an edmunds forum entry in my area from March.

I think I’m a little hung up on the car price not being discounted much before incentives given it’s almost 2 years old with '26s hitting the lots any day now, but, maybe not how that works? It’s a little more than we were looking to spend monthly but if it’s a good deal we’d be happy with it.

GM supplier EV allowance does stack with conquest.

OK thanks for confirming that piece, I’ll dig up some examples and proof hopefully to go back to them with for being able to combine.

Welcome to the forum! A few things I noticed:

  1. Discount seems to be weak for a loaner, check Signed Deals & Tips to see what discounts others getting for loaners.
  2. There is a chance that dealer mixing up supplier pricing with supplier incentive, make sure to use that $1k! (I wish I have it)
  3. MF is very high, I’d say one-pay lease will reduce the total cost quite a bit.

I highly recommend becoming a super supporter so you can acces Ratefindr where you can pull all data and build your own deal. It’ll make a huge difference once you see which trim is the best, what are MF and RV, etc.

Finally, I see 2 different GM Financial rates in the Ratefindr for Lyriq. So, there is a chance that dealer is presenting you the one they make more profit. The other option is 76% RV and the MF is .0015 which is a much better in your case.

Good luck!

Thanks, I did parse a lot of signed deals and tips to see, there were a few loaners but many threads were level 1 or even the most recent one remarked their deal was not likely to be replicated. This is the closest in recent posts with nearly same MF and lower residual.

I think we probably could have pushed the sale price lower - I used sites like truecar and edmunds to get suggested price that I thought aligned but I was comparing it to ours after incentives.

They’ve since applied the supplier incentive which got the payment within the range we were looking for.

I’m surprised the MF is high - this was the rate I’d found on the Edmund’s forum for the same model and allowed miles. We are coming in at $558 - I’m not sure what I’m missing but using the leasehackr calculator it’s slightly higher at 574.

We haven’t signed yet though we did agree verbally, I’m not sure how much my partner will want to go back to them now but maybe there’s room.

Missing your tax rate, dealer / doc fees. Incentives are likely taxed in NC too.

Thanks, it wasn’t clear what those fees were with the documents they provided with the terms so far.

I’ve since signed up as a super supporter and gone through ratefindr and lease calculator to determine how to approach another dealer I found with a significantly lower sticker price - but they are coming out with an even higher lease number than the first dealer I’ve been working with, due to hidden packages. So what looked to be a lower price is nearly the same.

From what I see, the 2 different MF rates are for AWD vs RWD. I’ve applied with RWD rate.

Here are the terms:
MSRP: $70695
$9,250 Cash discount
Sale Price: $61,445
Annoyingly, they have two packages not on the sticker for ceramic coating, that cannot be removed as they’re already applied +$2,498
Total Price: $63,943
Incentives: Conquest and Supplier $4k
Residual 72 and MF .00168 (which this dealer is claiming is wrong)
10k/24 mo no money down beyond fees/first month

Comes out to ~$600/mo

I spent last week negotiating Lyriq loaners in Tri State area and I have a strong feeling that any dealer that still holds 2024s will take them to the grave rather than give it to you for a good discount. The dealers who deal cleared out their 2024s long time ago. Had a much better luck with 2025s, even though rebate stack is worse.

Not sure whether my region sees larger demand for EVs than other pars, but it feels like all dealers treat their loaners as pots of gold. Some are saying they have people lined up waiting for a loaner to mature and be taken out of rotation to get that CTA rebate. No one wants to do 10% off before rebates with base MF. Best I was able to get on 2025 Lux 1 is ~7.5% before 5K incentives I qualify for and buy rate MF with low NY doc fee.

It definitely stacks. I have GM supplier + Conquest on my deal.
