Mercedes are getting crazy with their asks for C class. When I was shopping for a c63 back in 2018, they were asking for 1100-1200 per month and offered me a c43 for 7xx. I thought they were crazy back then. Now they want 17xx ?! If you like the car and have the money, go for it! But for that payment, you can get much better cars.
The OP is just going around and asking dealers how much they want him to pay (on a new bodystyle model no less) so it’s not surprising at all that the quotes are outrageous.
Add to that that he’s shopping a 36 month term which as noted has never been great on a C43 vs. 42/48 months so it makes something bad even worse.
OP really needs to just stop soliciting quotes and do some basic research and play around with the calculator with varying terms to put together a target deal at base MF, no markups, etc. to see what a best case scenario lease will look like.
Would you want to own a C43 out of warranty? 
For 56K, if it’s the car I had to have I’d be financing it and throw an extended warranty on it.
One other thought if you have $4000 as a down payment. You can put it into MSD reducing MF and you get the money back at the end of the lease.

The new c43 is handbuilt. Other cars like the cla45s is also handbuilt. The cla45s from 2019 onward even got its own new amg factory just to hand build the amg 4 cyl engines. Comes with signature of technician on engine.
Unless this poster is talking about the coupe which is the old c43 that is not hand built.
