MSRP was 47,550 they claim they can’t take it down more…but it seems off compared to the deal on the site and what I see around here, especially considering my trade in also! Is this as bad of a deal as I think? What should be my goal negotiation? [PXL_20240529_222914647]

yeah walk away. always ask questions to understand what the 500 and 1001 in fees is . You can always negotiate that too . also I hope you have used Edmunds to figure out the RV and MF on this . Based on that work out a target number before approaching dealers

I told him I wouldn’t even consider further if the MSRP didint go down by at least $3k and we could go from there

Yeah that’s what I was trying to say sorry. The jist I’m getting though is that they need to take at least 3k off that sales price to be remotely a fair sale, carmax is willing to give me 18.5k

Actually yes I did, carmax was higher than all of them by 1-2k. Apparently because my car is rare in MD and sought after.

So they changed it to $249, same $3k down and trade in. Do you still think that’s a dreadful deal?

That is still a $430/month effective payment. Not dreadful but still not a good deal.
