Received the following deal from a dealer in the Milwaukee area. Did the best I could to fit it into the calculator. I am looking for an Ioniq 5 Limited AWD. This dealer was ~8.5% below MSRP but then the RV they listed was 61% instead of the 62% in ratefindr. In addition their MF was inflated up to .00302 instead of the .00231 on ratefindr. They are offering a good trade in value on my '20 Sonata though.
Where else can I look for someone that would do this deal? I’d do the deal right away if I can find a dealer willing to do the same discount off of MSRP with the values I’m seeing in ratefindr. That’d look like this.
The dealer can’t adjust the RV number. That’s specified by the bank. Assuming that the 62% listed on the ratefindr is correct, the sales manager maybe just mistyped something. I’d ask them to double check by saying “I had quotes from elsewhere showing RV of 62% for that trim and period”.
They can mark up the money factor, though if they want, and you can always tell them “Hey, I like this deal, it’s really close to what I would need to make it work for me. Get that money factor down to .00231, and we’ve got a deal”
If they feel like they’ve already eaten enough with their dealer discount and don’t want to move on the MF, reach out to one of the brokers who works nationally to see what they can do
If you can swing it the 36/10 might be better pmt result. Also the ev registration fees in Wi are around 500 incl plates and I do see 497 in your calc. You will also have to add in the dealer doc fee and 5.5% Wi sales tax on the monthly payment.
The other side of this is that I’m in no rush to buy. Will the deals on '24 models continue to get better as we get closer to more '25 models hitting the lots?
