Lastly, I’d take your current car equity (verify that equity elsewhere too like Carmax, etc.) as a check rather than rolling into a lease where you may lose it if something bad happens to car. Or use it towards MSDs to reduce MF.

You won’t but stash that equity in a high yield MM if you don’t use as MSDs and help cover your payments from there.
Honestly, if you are thinking of spending 850 a month on a car and are worried about payment amount you should probably look for something a lot less costly.

Well, yeah but probably not likely, only if you can get dealer to discount that additional amount. As I said before learn how to lease in the wiki and search for other iX deals on this site and broker deals to see what max discount has been achieved. I’m also saying regardless of achieving a certain payment amount it isn’t generally a good idea to put several thousands down on a lease because it could all be lost if car is totaled, etc.
