Deal Check: BMW 330i 2020 Loaner

,

I’ve been offered the following deal, that I’ve replicated into the calculator (Note: I am off on my calculations - can’t figure out why the monthly lease payment difference is so high).

It’s $425/month, $0 down, 36/12. The dealership is offering a $3500 customer rebate that’s financed through BMW.

I was wondering if this is a good deal?

Does the out of pocket include the MSDs? What’s the buy rate MF?

You are putting your selling price and incentives wrong. That’s why it doesn’t match.

Thanks Batistuta - this helps me understand the discount a lot better. It seems the discount does not exceed the drop in residual value.

No problem. You can save another $1000 if they give you the base MF. I doubt they will accept it but you can give it a try. After considering the marked up MF your discount is about 16.7~% right now. (which is not bad)

Are you sure the numbers at the top are what’s being used in the lease calculation?

When I was dealing with Autonation on a loaner, they kept insisting it was a 20% discount but I couldn’t make the numbers line up. Turns out the discount that was showing at the top was for a purchase and not a lease.

In this case they used same pre-incentive discount but applied different incentives for lease and purchase. You can check the bottom of the deal sheet. The calculator comes out very close.

Yes but I think they inflated the MSRP. A Carfax report I ran showed an MSRP of $41k whereas theirs is around $46k. Very sketchy…

Are you sure that’s not the base Msrp before options?

I think you might be right. It’s the base without options.

Getting cold feet on this deal - I think I might shop around a bit more. Something about the discount and high residual doesn’t sit right.

What doesn’t sit right?

RV for a new 330i for 36mo/12K mi is 58%. How many miles does your loaner have? There’s a correction to the RV for loaner miles, but I can’t recall what it is.

It’s 4.2k miles
