I’ve been on the market looking for a replacement vehicle, and given current gas prices and my disdain and distrust toward CVTs (had a catastrophic failure with a Nissan a while ago so Camry and Accord Hybrids, despite having superior transmissions than Nissans, are not an option, and seem to be heavily marked up anyway), I decided to go with the Sonata Hybrid, looking for the Limited package (even if the solar roof is a gimmick, leather seats and extra tech sell it for me)
So, TL;DR, calculator links to the offers I got from local dealers, for your review and critique:
Rodo, for reference: MSRP $36764, 36/10 $403 all-in monthly, $2953 DAS
Truecar? A true joke, they used to have good discounts but the best price below MSRP is like $200, and leasing quotes are nowhere as competitive, even with their default 10% DAS
The question is: Can I do better in this current market, or even with a broker the best I can do is get rid of the marked-up MF at both dealers and call it a day?
Also, $3000 DAS on both to show a fair comparison, even though one offer is 36/12 and the other is 36/10 - not sure if I got my taxes right though.
My apologies for the amount of text, but I thank you in advance for your replies/feedback on this!
