What incentives are you stacking? I think I know which car this is - it’s a solid spec
$7500 And $2000
If you’re getting that price with only $9,500 in incentives sounds like you’re getting close to 23% off MSRP (with no mileage adjustment) with base money factor? That seems pretty good to me
Gross Cap Cost: $105,297
Adjusted Cap Cost: (with Fees & Taxes) $103,706
Was that your offer or theirs? Presume it was BP? I offered them about 600 more and they turned it down and sold later the same day.
My offer. We started at $1199/mo with $3942 DAS @ 7.5k/36mo
Was that at BP? If yes, it’s already gone, probably at their asking price as they don’t normally negotiate.
Yes at BP. I ended up taking the deal.
You mean they accepted your offer? And what was 2000 for in rebates? GKL conquest without loyalty?
Yes, they took the offer. It was GKLCONQUEST without loyalty.
Good for you! Not sure why they would settle for less with my offer on the table. Probably got a different manager.
I’m also surprised you offered more and they declined. I guess I got lucky today… When were you at the dealer? I went last week and was eye shopping because my lease was up on my EQS 580 SUV. They called me this morning trying to close a deal. I honestly had no intention to lease the car today, it was totally unexpected.
I wasn’t physically there which sounds like that was the difference. Spoke to a CA a few times throughout the day, then a manager Frankie (Francisco) called me right before 6 pm and was totally disinterested in my offer.
So, you singlehandedly busted two LH gospels:
1 - it may pay off to be at the store.
2 - AutoNation does sometimes negotiate prices on used cars (although yours is a true manager’s demo).
BTW, they did tell you that the car was punched on 1/1/25 so there’s about 33 months of warranty left? Hopefully won’t be an issue. Enjoy, that’s an awesome deal on a crazy 141K build.
Yeah, it seemed like they really wanted to close the deal today when I got to the dealership in person.
They didn’t disclose the warranty being up in 33 months. Most likely the cars going to be up on SAL within the next year, so not too worried about that.
So, I think this is what you got
They marked up MF by 30 points and added about $375 in add-ons (window tint)? So it ended up beating my offer by just a few hundred after all.
Oh, and they messed up the RV charging 25 cents a mile vs 30. Wonder if they’ll eat the $7*36 difference.
$369 for key protection.
My OCD is having too much fun dissecting it lol. Here’s a corrected calculator since they seemingly messed up DMV as well charging you 655 when it should’ve been close to 1200. MF markup is actually full 40 points.
This is so interesting to me. I’m shocked that an Autonation store would be willing to negotiate on pricing at all - let alone discount like $9k off of the listed price. Also picking up an i7 from an Autonation store today and they were set on their one-price used policy. Although mine was a true loaner and not a demo, not sure if that is what’s making the difference.
Congrats on a great deal on a beautifully specced i7!
