New to Leasehackr here. With the upcoming end of the EV $7,500 credit, I started my EV search last month. Preferred a “luxury” EV but would have settled for a mainstream EV. Didn’t want to spend more than $5,000 per year (all-in). Between the Cadi Lyriq, Cadi Optiq, VW ID4, Hyundai Ioniq5, and Audi Q4 E-tron, I ended up settling on the Cadillac Optiq. Felt I could get the best bang for my buck with the OPTIQ.
Thus, Deal Check:
2025 Cadillac OPTIQ Sport 1 “Courtesy Vehicle” with 100 miles
24/10K
Residual Value = 74%
MF = 0.00143
MSRP = $55,615
Incentives I asked for: $12,750 ($6K MSRP Discount, $2K Courtesy Car, $2K Conquest, $1K Supplier, $1.25K Costco, $500 Educator). I also asked for tax lease tax credit, making effective tax = 2.5% + $825 Fees
I looked at 4 examples signed here in Texas via LeaseHackr:
Example 1 (Signed 08/2025): $56K MSRP, $7K One Pay, 24/12K
Example 2 (Signed 08/2025): $55K MSRP, $301/month, 24/10K
Example 3 (Signed 07/2025): $54K MSRP, $6,300 One Pay, 24/14K
Example 4 (Signed 06/2025): $55K MSRP, $5,500 One Pay, 24/12K
I feel like my offer is higher than these examples, but the above offer is the best I’ve gotten so far after talking with 6 dealerships in my area. I only started calling / emailing dealerships today. I also wonder if the “Signed” deals posted on here are the “creme de la creme” of deals… so it would take me much more effort to get to that level.
Wondering if this is a good deal, or if I should wait it out. Maybe dealers will start sweating before the “EV crash” of 10/2025?
A variable you have to take into account is that those Aug, July, and June deals could have had different incentives/RV/MF’s available then. The only way you can do an apples-to-apples comparison is to see what the DEALER discount was on those vehicles, then plug in whatever current incentives, MF, RV are available now.
Sure but courtesy/used markets were strong then as is now. I saw an X3 courtesy the other day that was in the low 20% off range…mine was an MB and yeah Caddy may be different.
Thanks. All 4 examples had dealer discounts between 10-11%. Rebates also remained constant ($6250). This is similar to my deal (10.75% off MSRP + $6250 rebates).
Residual Values and Money Factors were quite different for June. Example 1 and 3 had lower money factors (due to onepay?). Example 1 had a money factor of 0.00082, while Example 2 had a money factor of 0.00137.
Interestingly enough, the dealer said the money factor for September is 0.00143. This is likely the reason for the discrepancy then.
All you can do is try to replicate dealer discount then apply whatever MF/RF/Incentives are available now. Don’t get caught up in it matching the one pay dollar for dollar. It won’t, unless programs are identical.
Conquest is if you drive a competitor vehicle brand (but it’s fairly generic). Acura, Audi, BMW, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Volvo, Porsche, Tesla, Genesis, Polestar, or Rivian all apply. Just needs to be registered to you or partner at your address and like 7 yrs or newer I think.
Supplier is if you work for a business with some connection to GM. Many qualify.
Thanks for the info. The cadillac website/dealer websites seem to only list the non-courtesy cars with an explicit mention of the $7500 credit, and a dealer I spoke to (in NJ) was roughly $9k off from these courtesy car deals, so I’m thinking that the $7500 is not being applied to all of them for some reason.
