Deal Check: 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan SE

Hey guys I’d like to kindly ask your opinion on the deal below. Where is there room for improvement? Also, I checked with edmunds who said I have $1500 in incentives in my area. I’m not sure how this would figure into these numbers.

39 Month / 15,000 Miles
Monthly w/tax $338.00
Would be responsible for 1st month payment at signing

MSRP $28,669
Savings $4,169
Purchase Price $24,500
Government Fee: $16.50
Add-ons $0.00
Doc Fee: $699
Gross Cap Cost: $25,890
Lease Acquisition Fee: $675
Monthly Usage Tax: $13.79
Residual: 48%
MF: .00034

Try putting the numbers in the calculator and sharing the link so people can more easily see where any discrepancies may lie.

Hey thanks for your reply. Here are the numbers that I was given and I am getting a payment of $286.

Here is the worksheet they sent me:

Calculator shows drive off of $1,066 not just First month. (Battle of Hastings)

:bat:

Sorry…Fixed.

It seems like the 24500 already included the 1500 incentive so you are putting in your calculations twice

Makes sense, thanks. Just trying to figure out if there is any more room for more negotiation.

You getting like 9% off the MSRP try to get it around 12%

Is this from the dealer, from edmunds, or both?

From both.

@logantrky in the end where you able to get a deal on your tiguan? whats the final Selling Price?

Yes I did sign on a black 2020 Tiguan SE FWD no sunroof. I tried to work every dealer pretty hard within 200 miles and this is the best I could do:

  1. Selling Price: $23,885

  2. Monthly Payment: $284 with 2,000 down.

(1st month’s payment paid by VW, oil changes covered, and included rubber floor mats)

15k/39 month

@logantrky this info is super helpful, I am also looking into one now

before I start talking numbers with the dealer just want to make sure I have my numbers right. Does your deal look like this?

I was thinking of offering the below, what do you guys think?
its for a 2020 Tiguan SE AWD

Why so much money down?

I know it does make too much sense but it helps me budget my monthly expenses.
