Deal check 2020 Mercedes GLC e350

Hi Hackrs-

I’m looking for a Mercedes GLC e350 in CO. Below is the link to the calculator deal I received on a configuration that meets what I’m looking for, which includes a number of pricy options like Driver and Parking Assistance (which I want as my teenager will drive it occasionally + i70 traffic jams).

MSRP: 61,925 / Sales Price 52,525.
36/10 - $807 with $0
36/12 - $824 with $0

Suggestions on where to negotiate very welcome - better acq fee or doc fee or MSDs? Just ask for lower sales price? Don’t seem to be many GLC e350’s with these packages. Full electric cars don’t yet have range I need for some trips, but battery enough for most of my daily driving. Have existing Mercedes GLA lease, so will save some $ staying Mercedes. Dealer has to get car from another location in central region.

Many many thanks!

I’d figure out if you need 10k or 12k miles and stick with one, otherwise you’re just adding confusion to an already confusing process.

The MB link you posted just lists a lease offer but doesn’t detail any specific lease incentives, unless I missed it. Confirm the MF, RV, and any incentives you qualify for at Edmunds.

The doc fee is generally set in stone, don’t even waste your time trying to negotiate this down.

And the base acquisition fee is also set in stone, however dealers can then mark this up. In this case the base fee for MB is $795 and they’re marking it up $300.

What you can do though is push for a bigger discount to offset the doc fee and acq. fee markup. Negotiate the core deal then add MSD’s if you can to lower your payment further.

@j_e_f_f - thanks so much for the thoughtful info. I love your statement about confusing an already confusing process! So let me narrow down to 12k miles.

Edmunds forums just wrote back-

.00165 MF and 54% residual
$6462 lease cash
$500 dealer incentive

Thoughts? Should I plug these numbers into the calculator and if so into which fields?

So I updated the calculator and it’s showing the payment ‘should’ be $638. I entered the new MV of .00165 which is 3.96% APR up from
0.00125 or 3% APR.

I entered 500 into untaxed incentives, and the 6462 lease cash into taxed incentives.

That’s a huge gap of about 6 thousand over the 3 years and — takes the score from 7.3 years to 9.3 years. Am I thinking that the dealer should be able to get to the same numbers if they want?

The dealer is including these incentives in the 52k selling price. You will want to separate out the PRE incentive selling price.
