Hi! First post here.
I am looking at the following:
2020 Merc AMG GLC43
36 Mos/10k miles
MSRP: 71,825
Selling Price $67,315
Residual 53% $38,067
MF: .00117
I obviously need to lower the sale price, but how much?

Look at the other posts on here about GLC43s to get an idea.
You also need to separate the selling price from the incentives you qualify for.
I would be looking for a minimum of 12% pre-incentive discount. FWIW PenFed is offering a $2500 rebate on this model this month. You can also look into MSDs to lower the MF. But generally, these are not leasing well.
Here is what I have accomplished
MSRP: 71845
Sale price, including ABA fleet deal ($2500) $60,000. 13% discount before incentives.
MF: 00117 (base rate)
Residual 53%
10k miles annually.
MF residuals are poor, but I feel like I did well on the dealer discount. It’s the end of the month, after all.
I’m struggling with should I take this or just go with a BMW deal with its better MF and residual.
13% on a new glc43 doesn’t seem too bad. How does it compare with the other deals you’ve come across for this model?
As long as the payments are within your budget and you have verified that you are getting a good deal for each specific car, go with what your heart wants.
What are the payments on each one and which one do you like more?
You can pay down the MF’s with MSDs. This will drop the payment about $80/mo. I still suspect you will wind up with an effective payment around $750/mo. Assuming you are looking at a X3M, the payment is about the same.
$724 for the Merc. I haven’t driven the X3m, but I find some of the M’s excessively harsh…
13% seems pretty strong To me, but maybe my sights are set too low.
Are you sure that rebate was not for financing instead of leasing?
Yes, I’m sure. I used the same incentive code to lease my GLA250.
If you keep clicking in on Mercedes you will eventually get to download a PDF file “Targeted Incentive” that contains the actual terms of the offer and which must be presented to the dealer. It changes every month so today is the last day for the June incentives.
I have been monitoring these incentives (mainly BMW) since the beginning of the year and they have not changed. For BMW, the lease incentive is $500 while the up to $2k is for financing through Penfed instead of BMWFS.
I will give your approach a shot but feel free to share a screenshot of the document you are referring to.
I send you a DM because the screen shot has my personal information on it.
I think it is pretty good.
If you’re leaving your decision up to us strangers on the internet, my vote is for the glc43. I really like the glc. I think the glc43 also has much better road presence than the x3m.
I’m partial to the GLC but it’s more about the deal.
The low RV on a MB is just pain in the ace
Exactly. They are losing sales to BMW because of this, pure and simple.
Interesting the GLC43 is 53% but the C43 is 59%. Very over-valued GLCs?
