Please let me know if this a good deal! Thank you for your help!

So down payment plus taxes and fees upfront?

It’s all included in the drive-off ($1692 + first month)

i wonder if i could get this in georgia. even with those taxes and fees included, thats max 480 a month with only paying first month

Get the lease program info from edmunds for your area and plug them into the calculator with some reasonable estimates of target pre-incentive discounts. That’ll let you know if this is doable in your area.

23% discount pre incentive looks pretty damn sweet. Sounds like a good deal on this car.

It’s not pre-incentive. There’s dealer cash baked into the sales price, but it’s still a very good discount.

So if the question is a selling price of $40k “worth it” for a $54k MDX, of course! I believe the Manufacturer to Dealer incentive is $7,600 right now, so go for it and enjoy!

So here’s the breakdown:

$1692 + $401.72 = $2,093.70 due up front.

The remaining payments are $401.72 for 35 remaining months so:

$401.70 x 35 = $ 14,059.50 in total remaining payments.

Add the money due up front and the total remaining payments:

$2,093.70 + $14,059.50 = $16,153.20

The $16,153.20 is what you’d pay over the life of the lease. Now divide by 36 since you said it’s a 36 month lease:

$16,153.20 / 36 = $448.70 effective cost per month. This is assuming taxes were included.

If the car was truly valued at the MSRP, you’d be paying about 30.75% for the depreciation. ($16,153.20 / $52,525) = 30.75%. However, most of these MDX’s w/ Tech packages sell for less if bought outright. So at selling price of $40,000, the depreciation you’d pay would be 40.383% ($16,153.20 / $40,000) = 40.383%.

Now keep in mind, there’s still the buyout price to consider. Keep in mind that the buyout should be whatever the difference is. So if the original agreed to selling price is 40K, then the buyout should be $23,846.80 ($40,000 - $16,153.20 = $23,846.80). Don’t let them get you for a higher price on the buyout!

Hopefully this helps.

Yes that helps, thank you!!

That’s not how buyout works. The buyout price at the end of the lease is RV% * MSRP (53% of $52,xxx), plus applicable TTL.
