Doesnt seem like a āspecialā order car or any rare to find options. So, only go for standard MF. Dealers are offering M3ās at invoice and standard MF! Big push by BMW to get dealers to clear inventory. Buyers advantage!
Unfortunately, looks like there are no cars with the combination of my choice(fully loaded). Hence the factory order. So it is a āspecialā order to me.
But I hear you about the base MF. IāLL push for it.
And when will people realize that they have to stop assuming everyone buys for the name? No offense.
For me this is a cheaper option compared to the Audi A5 Sport back, in that category. I like it thatās itās a sedan with a bigger boot. Mercedes doesnāt offer anything similar and I zeroed in on this after test driving 10-12 vehicles of diff kinds.
Iāll say dealership experience is a big thing. Most of the budget brand dealers are just horrible to deal with. For instance Iād be interested in checking out Kia and Mazda if it werenāt for their horrible dealerships.
I understand that most Americans donāt like the GTs (and wagons in general compared to folks over in the European countries). But i really liked it(I didnāt tell the dealer that, though). I know Iām in the minority.
The sales manager is saying the following. Can anyone confirm if thatās true?
The holiday Incentive of $3000 is lockable.
To lock in the MF and RV rates, he says they have to run my credit application to make sure Iām approved and only then heāll place a factory order. Is that true?
I guess the confusion is 2017 has an RV of 61% vs 58% for 2018. He says iāll get the 61% locked in even though Iām ordering a 2018. Does that make sense? If itās true I obviously donāt want to push because 61% obviously gives me a better monthly payment
The residual is base on BMW for the regional not dealer. Also the drive off seem high to me, tag should be around 300, acc 725-925, other small fees, shouldnt be more than 1400 total. Ask them to break the fee downā¦ otherwise 490~ included tax is good number.
what would be the difference? I havenāt had anything premium YET but Iām assuming the dealer still tries to cut your throat and would also assume that BMW/Audi/Merc just do it in a more professional way? Iāve dealt with Toyota and Nissan and they are not shy about bleeding you for every penny they can get.
Iāve been to my local Mazda at least 5 times on different occasions. Iāve never once seen the car Iāve wanted to look at in their filthy run down showroom, and was never once was asked to be helped. On five occasions. The difference is night and day with my local mercedes dealer where theyāre always super nice and helpful. Toyota was OK. Not great but not bad. Subaru seems like they couldnāt be bothered to sell a car. BMW wants to schedule appointments to look at cars and closes at like 6pm. Ford is like a clusterfuck of epic proportions. Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge feels sleazy. Pretty much I detest going to any dealership but if I have to buy a car at least make it an experience that doesnāt make me shudder.
Yes both statements are true. Except in my Region on 2018 3 Series itās a 61% residual at 36/10k and a $2,000 Holiday Lease Credit. You also get a $1,500 Loyalty if you have a BMW in the household. And depending on your employer you may also qualify for Corp Fleet which would knock another $500 off price.
They are also asking me a $1000 deposit. Is there a downside to putting the deposit or can I put down a lower amount? I still havenāt asked them, but is that generally refundable?
We als take a $1,000 deposit on orders and I take a $5k deposit on select cars (M2, M4 GTS, etc). Thereās no downside. Remember that theyāre modifying an allocated unit to your exact specifications so theyāre taking as much chance on you as you are on them.
Have you considered the wagon or 4 series gran coupe? I just got a 17 wagon that has almost all the option besides adaptive cruise and M sport, but everything else for 25% of MSRP. It was a loaner, but I was able to cross negotiate a non loaner at another dealer within $70 a month (car had slightly less options). Most US wagons I saw at dealers around here are highly optioned as well compared to the 3 series sedans/GTs. Also the 4 series GC has almost as much trunk space, but is supposed to handle better because the slopped rear brings the center of gravity back down compared to 3 series GT. The only wish I had is they allowed the wagon to be get 6 pot here.
