Just wanted to update so people would know. I turned in my car which had an estimated 1000 damage (reputable body shop cost outside of insurance).
Mercedes Benz financial sent an end of lease statement showing $536 damage.
Looks like just having Mercedes estimate and fix is significantly better and they didn’t screw me for not doing a preinspection
