Guys and gals who custom ordered the car and paid cash/financed before - do you get some sort of ‘quote’ stating discussed discount on the car (if any)? Do you get an invoice of some sort for the deposit you place with a dealer?
I custom ordered a Mercedes recently. I didn’t put down a deposit nor did I receive a quote, etc. I recognize that I’m at the mercy of the dealer, but we’ve leased 12 Mercedes from them so I’m reliant on goodwill. That said, I’ve custom ordered from them previously (3x) and their lease pricing was far better than any other dealer within a 500 mile radius. The main concern I have is that our order has been stuck in the build queue and has yet to be allocated, so we don’t know when it will arrive.
