Credit card Hackr (sign on bonus, maximizing points/miles tips and tricks)

I did that with downgrading my CSR to a flex and getting a CSP a few years ago. I waited a month and it seemed fine. The phone reps seemed quite familiar to answer my question if I was eligible.

Remember, one Sapphire bonus every 48 months!

oh dang, didn’t know about the bonus for 48 months, just had a bonus signup this year through my business preferred, nvm lmao.
thank you!!!

Personal and Business may be separate stuff, may want to check.

Where do you get these to pop up at?

if you know the answer to this:
I am a newbie to this and so, just trying to learn about the cc hacking game.
-From what I am gathering (for paid cards), after receiving the sign up points, people tend to either
a. keep the card and continue its usage
b. downgrade to freedom–multiple variations of this card. subsequently you can have like 5 freedom cards?
c. close the account-possibly impacting their cc score. g the account open if you have full intention on using it for points and etc.

question: It appears that you cannot redeem/very restrictive your points if you downgrade to a freedom cc? so better to keep one paid card open like a preferred or reserve?

Yes I believe all of that is correct.

Closing a newer card usually doesn’t have a lot of impact but you should never close within the first year as you might have all your card with an issuer cancelled.

Thank you for dropping the knowledge

FYI - there are a bunch of seasonal 5-7x promos for co-branded hotel and airline cards right now. I’m sure if you google, you’ll find them

I have been unsuccessful in finding any 200K+ NLL offers recently. My wife just pulled the trigger on a 120K upgrade to Platinum from her gold business card with 10K spend (NLL obviously because it appeared in her account). Beauty of it is the prorated annual fee is like $190 because her account year ends in Feb/Mar. Even after accepting she still gets a 175K NLL Platinum offer every time she logs into her account (and we just received the same 175K/20K spend offer in the mail this afternoon). Luckily college expenses aren’t that high that I have that much natural spend in 3 months.

I just got a second Amex Gold business from a preapproved offer 175k for 15k spend. Instant approval.

If you already have an Amex check if you have a referral link for the 200k offer

My Gold Amex just offered a 6 months 11.99% APR on purchases… enrolled, I’ve been getting the pop ups for 175K Business Platinum upgrade but I don’t have that much to spend unless I prepay my rent for a few months hahaha

Just opened a US BANK Smartly Visa, (I have their Platinum card already) gets 2% on all purchases and if you open some savings with them you get up to 4% cash back (minimums terms etc apply-not interested in that)

Also got a PayPal Credit Card and got $50 off my first purchase-won’t use it as it’s a Synchrony Bank Crappy card, but got $50 for free

If you need one in the future, PM me
