Hi folks - sorry for asking such a basic question, but I see the Costco rebate showing up in lease deals, but I’m not exactly understanding what you need to do to take advantage of that.
Specifically looking at a Volvo XC90 Recharge PHEV, but I assume the answer is more generalizable. Do I wave my Costco membership card in the dealer’s face and demand a $1,000 discount, or are there more steps than that? 
you need to goto Costcoauto.com and create a Certificate that has a code that you will provide to dealer at the time of the deal.
PenFed works similarly once you are a member for at least 60 days. penfed.truecar.com to get your certificate.
Check for special programs (not currently one for Volvo)
When there is a program, you go to the website and generate a certificate with your name on it, and present that to the dealer
Lol he would laugh, and ask you for your Costco Password.
You go to Costcoauto.com and print a voucher. Which will ask you to put in your costco info.
BTW There are no Volvo discounts at costco this quarter.
