Specs don’t look too bad. 400+ range is impressive.
“The car will feature two electric motors that have a total output of 469 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. When it comes to range, the car will be able to travel for over 400 miles on a single charge and is built around 800 volt charging technology.”
It’s a press release. It’s not impressive until they mass produce it.
I totally get it that it is just a concept. Maybe in 5 years, they will be on dealer lots.
I’ll care when I can drive one
I personally feel that 400+ mile range is not necessary in an EV. You’re just spending more time at the charging station to fill that monster when you reach low state of charge. Even if it is super-supercharged it will cost more to run.
It’s supposed to be using the 800 W system that chargres at 350 kW, so it should charge in a normal amount of time
So a new bone-base Taycan?
“Charging performance will be in line with the e-tron GT, allowing for up to 186 miles of range with just 10 minutes of charging at a DC fast charger. When plugged into a public DC fast charger, the car will be able to charge from 5% to 80% capacity in less than 25 minutes.”
As long as it can be hackable, I’ll take one.
Audi in the lead for design
I like the look, although it has something Hyundaish happening from the front.
