Coming to end of lease

, ,

My lease with Mercedes gonna come to an end soon.
There are some scratch of the car, pre inspection got cancelled due to Covid. Not sure how much the damage gonna cost me. Dealer spend about 5-10 mins say approximately 800-1000.

Option 1 is mb offer 500 damage waiver if I get a new lease with them along with 1000 loyalty bonus.

Option 2 is to find a body shop to fix it or fix it myself since no body shop open ( this is hard for a newbie like me )

Any suggestions ?

And no disposition fee. I would try and work a deal on a new one. Then compare with other options you’re considering.

$800-$1000 is high. You can probably get them to cover it all in the damage waiver.

If you want a new Mercedes, use the search function and look at previous deals. If you don’t want another one, try to negotiate the damage with the dealer upon turn in or go to another dealer.

Unless you really like the brand and their next car for you, don’t get trapped into this “loyalty” hamster wheel.

Good catch, that could another 595. I didn’t realize there are other cost at end of lease.

Trade the car in elsewhere on your next lease deal? No dispositon fee, loyalty hamster wheel, etc.

Every lease has a disposition fee that is only waived if you lease another car from them. But

Your outgoing lease has a scratch. I wouldn’t worry too much about it without first knowing what your next lease will be and when you plan to get it.
