Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM Lease Deals

After the boat ride over, they still need to be delivered via train/trailer though.

… that’s a good point!

LOL

Is domestic rail more expensive than international boat? Also, I think you can ship from coast to coast by private shipper for less than manufacturer’s destination charge. Does that make sense?

Actually yes - it’s generally cheaper to move product across an ocean vs across a country.

Part of my family comes from the auto world

The other part comes from the lobby groups like NATA (National Auto Trucking Assoc). Rail is dirt cheap, but you can only move X cars per train.

A boat can move millions of pounds more and often for less.

Yes on destination charge though - they run it up on the consumer.

Okay, this last few days since this post has taught me something. There are a lot of you and the requests have been pouring in. The weekends are especially tough to get to the requests in a timely manner as I am also working inbound leads, Walk-ins, phone ups and orphan leads, as I am a traditional Sales Consultant. Monday thru Friday, I will be able to work more efficiently.

I will get to your requests as quickly as possible and am sorry for the delay to everyone who is waiting for a response.

To help Expedite things in the future, please send your request in this format:

@Jon, yes. Trucks are most expensive. Sometime the destination is even different for different trim levels of the same vehicles. Take a look… Just a few examples

@Jon, and yes Dealers will discount the vehicle and mark up the freight to offset. I have worked for dealers who mark up all destinations by a few hundred dollars on the first pencil. Most people do not see it and can work the numbers from there to back into a payment or OTD.

I learn something new here every time. Had no idea about freight mark up.

Most dealerships will not show it as such in an individual line item either. The business manager show the correct frieght on the Buyer’s order, the excess rolls into the price so the bottom line matches up. Buyer beware of a payment focused dealer on a purchase. Leases are different and you guys have a range to gauge a solid deal.

Rail moves X cars to a certain part of the country only, while boat delivers cars to Baltimore, for example, and from there cars still need to be shipped to a much larger area of the country.

Yes, and that was my point

omg…but tnx for your information

My Manager has come back on the offers with a .00042 bump in rate and a bump on Freight. Deals are coming in around low 1%'s. Frustrating at best. Sorry Hackrs…
