I guess I maybe wording it wrong. One dealer says that it does go into the residule and another tells me it doesn’t. I guess that where the confusion is

Comes with 8 years of data connectivity. It uses internet when available and then caches/downlaods the maps when there’s no internet.

Same like bundle w/ onstar sub or something

8 years is hard to piss and moan about though versus what they usually give you with OnStar. I hope for their sake that the existing communications infrastructure holds for those 8 years. There’s a lot of people with older connected cars that are SOL now that 3G communications have been turned off.
