When closing a deal on a lease and if things like dings are noticed, how is that handled usually? Is it documented like in a car rental?
If I’m understanding you correctly, you are talking about the beginning of the lease. I’d ask the dealer to have any dings fixed before you sign off on any paperwork. Otherwise, you might be charged at the end of the lease. On the GM-Volt forum, I once read how someone was charged a fee at lease end for a paint defect that was there at lease signing that the dealer noted. I don’t recall if he got out of it (but I am going to assume he didn’t considering it was US Bank)
OK thanks. Yeah I meant on beginning of lease.
Have them fix it prior to delivery
